Abstract |
The aim of this investigation is to show how the law discourse with the specific set of stylistic devices and types of speech acts functions in other unusual discourse spheres. To achieve this aim we try to analyze the corps of legal terms in bélles-léttres discourse and to discover the correlation between the legal terminological paradigm and the complex of nonterminological means used for expressing the corresponding concepts. The corps of textual examples from literature with examples from legal language and law terms used by John Galsworthy «The Man of Property» (1906), Charles Dickens «The Posthumous Papers of the Pickwick Club» (1836-1837), «Bleak house» (1852-1853), Harper Lee «To Kill a Mockingbird» (1960) for expressing the main ideas and for creating colorful images of his characters were the materials of investigation. |
